Snowbasin plans target Morgan as well
Although Snowbasin's most recent development plans got started in Weber County, similar development in Morgan County will follow closely on its heels. So far, the ski resort has asked Weber County for a rezone of 4,000 acres that would allow for a maximum of 2,500 residential units. In 2011, Snowbasin officials plan to start a similar process with 8,000 acres in Morgan County, where they envision another 2,500 residential units. Residents of those units will be a combination of permanent and part-time residents, said Becky Zimmerman, with the planning office of Design Workshop. Zimmerman was quick to point out that buildout of the 2,500 Morgan units will take as long as 50 years, depending on market conditions. Ogden Standard-Examiner
