Ogden IRS building on schedule for 2012 finish

Two four- story elevator shafts are beginning to stretch skyward as construction continues on a $21 million Internal Revenue Service facility being built at 24th Street and Lincoln Avenue in Ogden. In addition to the shafts being constructed at the north and south ends of the property, footings and foundations are being poured for the 116,000-square-foot building. The Boyer Co. will own the building and lease it to the General Services Administration, the federal government's real estate arm, for use by the IRS. Construction is scheduled to be finished early next year. Ogden Standard Examiner
