Morgan city and county officials helped area business owners draw up a new economic development plan that asks Morgan County and the city to each donate $7,500 for the effort. Growth will depend on networking opportunities and keeping a database of tools and contacts that can help area businesses.
The chamber called on Morgan government officials to reduce restrictions on business development, such as the lengthy process of obtaining a business license.
