The latest Unemployment Insurance (UI) Weekly Claims Report is now available from the US Department of Labor. The 4-week moving average of nationwide initial claims has increased from the revised number of 387,500 last week to 386,750 this week.
The report dated 28 June 2012 reflects our unemployment numbers for week-ending 16 June 2012. During this week, 1,702 initial claims were filed in Utah compared to 1,826 the prior week. The numbers listed below are based on the 4-week moving average.
- 1,797 initial UI claims filed (decrease of 38 from the prior week and decrease of 303 from same week in 2011).
- 15,461 continued UI weeks claimed (decrease of 110 from the prior week and decrease of 6,214 from same week in 2011).
- 7,883 continued EUC08 weeks claimed (decrease of 315 from the prior week and decrease of 7,141 from same week in 2011).
